Women’s Aid is the national domestic violence charity which co-ordinates and supports a network of over 370 local domestic violence organisations, providing over 500 refuges, helplines, outreach services and advice centres. Our work is built on 30 years of campaigning and developing new responses to domestic violence.

WDVSS provides emotional support, information and practical help to women. Since its beginning the organisation has established a way in which all the best resources of the community can be made available to anyone who has been involved in domestic violence. We believe in enhancing the dignity and self-respect of all those that use our service. A prime aim of our organisation is to raise awareness of the effects of violence within the community and to all involved professionals. Our main value remains helping families to overcome the factors arising from domestic violence, by providing practical, emotional and psychological help to families through various support services.
